Strengthening of economic relations with Montenegro

Signed, in the presence of the Minister of Industry Fabio Righi and of the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism of Montenegro Armend Milla, a Memorandum of Understanding between EDA-CC and the Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce to support the companies of the two jurisdictions to enhance trade and create the best opportunities for cooperation.

This Memorandum testifies to the wish expressed by our Authorities during the recent institutional visit to Podgorica – and anticipated by EDA-CC to the Montenegrin counterpart in a recent meeting in Monaco – of involving economic stakeholders within the ongoing process of strengthening bilateral relations through the conclusion of agreements on the protection and promotion of investments and the abolition of double taxation.

One of the objectives of the Economic Development Agency – Chamber of Commerce is to set up a network of contacts useful to foster the internationalisation processes of San Marino enterprises, especially with reference to its main clusters. To this end, it will be important to establish a close connection with operators in order to better understand possible interests, needs and criticalities with respect to this market, also with a view to organising, once the areas of interest have been defined, possible B2B meetings and to develop cooperation along the supply chains that are most relevant for the two countries.
